NYC session 1 this friday the 20th !!

Recommended Posts

Hey bnb, I had scar surgery few days ago on my arm. I asked my surgeon about your wide HT scar, he said that it can be fixed. I had scar on my arm removed, now it looks more like a line, this guy is like a magician. You should consult any cosmetic surgeon in NY, I am sure you can find plenty there. If you want some canadian hands on, head over this way :)

Thanks flippo! This weekend after shave I will take pics and update w natural light this time. Friday or Saturday.

What does everyone else think? Robby? Night wood? Hair? Where ya guys at :)

I think it's looking great and look forward to seeing it once you've settled further and lost a little of the redness. From nearly every angle when talking to anyone they wouldn't be able to tell that you had smp. The only thing I can see from the great quality photos is that from the top you can see a small difference between your smp and you quite dense remaining hair. That is the only thing I can pick up on and that is because I am looking at it in great detail which no other person will ever do.

I think it looks much better with your remaining hair cut shorter (even if you need some razor training ;-)

I'd personally sit on it now for a good few months and see how things settle down and review things and see if anything needs attention at that point. Mr BSB, I think you're done. :)

Bnb, I don't have the before pic but Doc took one so when I see him next, I will ask him for the pic. I have after pic, it's kinda gross  and more belongs on R/WTF ( Not sure if you are a Redditor  :) ) as it's still few days old and have stitches. It takes time to heal with skin stretching. I will post it anyways, maybe someone will get some Karma at my expense, if you know what I mean if you belong to Reddit.

That's looking much better BSB, good to see your journey is back on the right path.

Remind me, how long ago was your HT? When your scar has lost some of its colour you might want to consider some Fraxel sessions to flatten it out a little. There are tons of Fraxel clinics in NYC and I think you'd really see a benefit from it.

hairkiller - thanks! i look forward to your response as you are WELL respected here.  thanks for following still :)

maple - whoa lol looks rough however that is one small skinny line .. please update me couple weeks out.  thanks again for following man.. means a lot as well as ur continued support and advice.

damien - yes i do seem to be on the right path.. looking better.  ill know for sure end of next week as i found 3 weeks settle time seems to be the time frame for me.  HT was about 8 years ago now.. i think thats a lot of time but maybe not.  one thing i certainly found is that my scar redness diminished greatly at 3 week mark almost magically... compared to week 1 and 2 after session.. kinda weird.  thanks for following damien and staying in touch - greatly appreciated as you know.

I will post 2 week post session with pics and shave this weekend gents.. should get a better idea of blend.  Talk to u soon!

bnb, always there for you brother, I really think you should consider seeing some surgeon. I am very positive that they can make that scar look more like a line and take away that discolouration of skin. Your hair looks far better now. I'm glad things are falling in place for you. I am seeing my doc again in two weeks. I am going to take your pics and ask him for advice if you don't mind.

Whats up guys - hope all is well.  I do not have pics this week as the changes are not that big from last week.  I will post pics next week - 3 weeks post 2nd fix session (4th session).  I wrote Matt an email as i am happy with what i am seeing.  There are somne pigments that are darker than everything else but they are only seen from certain angles as well as some dots that are bigger but again tough to see.  I do not think anyone really notices and no one has said anything - only 2 people have kind of "stared".  The emaik i wrote will be posted below.  Thank you so much for following and giving your awesome advice.  I apologize for the lack of follow up last week as i have been very busy and also becoming more comfortable with this whole process.  Here is what I wrote Matt:

Hey Matt!  Hope all is well.  Attached are the pictures of my head since our last session.

It is definitely looking better and I appreciate all you have done and
your dedication to making me happy - it goes well noticed and genuinely
appreciated - beyond what words could describe.  As you know I am sure,
having an embarrassing head whether from balding or a failed SMP can be
catastrophic to one's confidence.  So again, thank you for your patience
and commitment to your clients and me personally.

Knowing SMP can not be 100 percent and understanding that it can probably only get
to 90 percent perfection I am currently give my SMP a 75/80 percent (so
close and I KNOW WE WILL ACHIEVE 90).  With that said, I need to give it
about 10 weeks off for mental satisfaction as well as just a break from
the stress caused by worrying.  I have overcome the nerves of showing
my head and most people don't notice a thing in regards to the darker
pigments and bigger dots so that is completely awesome thanks to your
due diligence and expertise at what you do.  Thank you!

The areas that I feel need a little work still are my side profiles, above
the scar a touch (below the crown) - still see a little horseshoe and
maybe just a grazing of density after fading has occurred to further
conceal any blotchy or darker areas.  I do not feel it is a concern now
but after a couple months of fading it may be.  Other than that though I
am very happy with you and everything that I already stated.  You
change lives Matt and as the bible states - store up your riches in
heaven for they last an eternity, not your riches on earth for they are
fleeting as you leave them behind when you die - and as one makes a
decision to accept Christ as their savior (which I sincerely hope you
make that decision one day if not already) - they have a potential to
receive these rewards in heaven - and this is something you are
CERTAINLY doing.  The hearts you touch, lives you change, and confidence
you bring to peoples personal lives is unexplainable.  Thank you again.

What do you think?

Thank you,

Great BNB, As an Agnostic, I don't mind you expressing your beliefs. We all have something to cling on to get through troubles/stresses in life, whether it's God ( of any kind ), family, friends or things.  Happy for you brother, btw, I talked to my doc and showed the pic of your scar. He said it can be easily fixed. I am sure NYC has a whole lot of specialists that can work their magic on it. Thought I let you know.

OK guys - pics are uploaded to site.  As I mentioned earlier some guys wanted to see pics of longer hair with diffuse thinning with SMP.. 3 weeks length in pics taken.  BEWARE - its pretty ugly in my opinion lol - but I am here to serve.  In all honesty - I wanted to see what it looked like for my self as well.  I used courve (not in pics taken) and it does look much better. I am going to try and take some pics with that in and post those as well sometime this week.  I plan on shaving head again soon to check blending and pigment size/color.  Scar redness is settling nicely - still noticeable but DEF better than it was.  SMP is clearly best shaved as close as possible.  Take a look guys - and again - the pics are for the people who wanted to see SMP/diffuse thinning w length - pics are pretty sad though :(

I received an email back from Matt which was great.  He is completely committed to my 100 percent happiness which is awesome to continue to know.

All I see is a lot of hair which I wish I had!! I don't see anything sad and no head of hair is perfect my brother.

You have a multitude of options with all that hair but it would be nice to see your head shaved to see how the SMP settled. From my perspective it blends well with your hair at that length with little noticeable patchiness even under harsh lights.
