   A FUE transplant. Today's highest, most intelligent option for hair transplantation. This is the best that they can do. Don't be alarmed as this is an optional procedure, you have a choice and making the right choice for you, is really only up to you. Anytime they use a scalpel or a plunger on your head you WILL have scars. No way you are going into public until that heals. (I just don't want some guy who has never seen what this looks like to be lured into doing it.)(the strip surgery looks even worse) I'm not saying that there are not people in the world who have been blessed by having a HT. And this guy in the photo could be one of them. But my advise is to stay away from it..

   I am guessing that this photo was taken really close to after this guy having his HT done.

   Warrior, that picture brings me back memories of my experience with a hair transplant.  What a freaking fool I was to fall prey to the stupid allure of some high-end hair transplant outfit.

   Many of us were tricked by the fancy, cherry-picked pictures on display within their galleries.

   The truth of it is that none of that shit works if your hairloss is too fargone.  If you are anything above a Norwood 4, you shoudl never touch that stuff.  The best candidates are the ones with perfect laxity, high-density donor regions & a Norwood 3 or lower hair loss pattern that is set to not progress any further.

    We aren't the only ones who fell for that and it doesn't mean that we are stupid or unwise. It just means that we really do trust other peoples integrity. There isn't a way to go back and undo what has been done. This is why I try to advocate against HT's in general. I can't say that no man has ever not gotten exactly what they asked for by going the HT route, but I can say that a great many did not get what the were asking for. Look at the picture of my scar. The doctor assured me that it would be pencil thin. He just didn't tell me it would be one of those prank 3 foot long pencils!

   To give an idea of what I've spent, so far, on my hair. My original HT cost me $4200. I had what was supposed to be 800 grafts, only 400 grew (I could actually count them). I had massive shock loss and went from an NW2 to an NW5 and that hair never grew back.
   I've since spent $2500 on hair removal and fraxel laser to get rid of the hairs that did grow out of the HTand try to smooth out some of the small scars across the front. Both of those have been very successful. I could use more fraxel but I am happy with how smooth it is right now.

   That's a drop in the bucket for what some guys have paid out. I'm down $6700 bones and I couldn't even begin to number the hats I have purchased that I probably never would have gotten.

   Had 3 sessions in London during January/February 2012. Very very happy :)

   those are some really insightful words and the photo...HOLLY SHIT!

   I can't imagine what you guys have gone through...

   I will say I went to three of the supposedly best hair transplant doctors..(well two out of three) in the tri state area and as nice as the end result seemed to be...as in having a full head of hair...

   I just got the feeling...I would never know how many actual transplants I got...(how the hell would i ever have know if what they charged me for I actually got) I was scared shitless about the hair shock factor that makes the hair you have left possibly fall out...

   The recovery time was horendous as they explained it...

   Also the shaving of the area they work on was a big concern.. for the weeks after the surgery how do you walk around half with hair...half without?

   The one doctor I went to with a great reputation in the balding community wanted to do strip ...I wanted FUE.....the price jumped a bit...to between 12 to 15 grand and he said...I would probably need 3 surgeries over three years...

   We're now talking 36 to 45 grand..! and the real kicker was he wanted to maintain the ability to do strip the day of the surgery for whatever reason he saw fit..

   I was like...boy you can really shove that shit up your ass...That was one of the straws that broke the camels back...the other really important aspect for me...

   Was he wanted me to take propecia which I refuse to do. For those that don't know Propecia blocks the ability to take the PSA test...which I do yearly ...because family history of prostrate cancer.. ..

   I'm not dying for some hair on my head to maybe grow..

   Brutal nonsense...the scars...the recovery...the money...the pain you guys must have endured..

   Thats nonsense in so many ways.

   All I can say is I'm glad I did this HIS MHT service. It cost me  10 to 15 percent of the hair transplant bullshit.. ..my recovery time was minimal..(other than catching the flu...etc which had nothing to do with HIS ) ...no Drugs needed...no scars ...and no disappointment..

   I got a good feeling the HIS guys can remedy the scar work you guys might have..I'm not a guy with scars but I did see a guy last april who was thrilled with the MHT process on the top of his head....and on the scar work he had out back...

   Like I said earlier..I never saw him before the MHT process so I don't know what the scar looked like..but he sure sounded very much like what you guys are sounding like and then he had the HIS service and he was thrilled to death..

   He was really really down on hair transplants too... I think a lot more guys are dissatisfied with hair transplants than many of us.." Newbies "would imagine..

   I just had a gut instinct from probably...6 hair transplant companies..(about three were just sales arms that really creeped the shit out of me) that I was in a money making racket machine and that somehow I was going to get fuc ed!

   I'm glad I got lucky and decided that sh t wasn't for me. I'd say dumb luck for sure.

   I read your pain and anger in this thread....its been communicated quite well.

   I understand its not the end of the world and who gives a crap etc...but still...it would be nice not to have gone through the whole ordeal..

   I'm still amazed they lied to you..said it would be a pencil tip thin scar and then it ends up to be something bigger and then your shit out of luck as far as their office is concerned.

   IT must have made you want to take the guy out. HOLLY SH T you guys have good self control.

   I admire your honesty...I appreciate the photos of the guy with that bad @ss hair transplant...and who knows maybe it'll hopefully work out for him...but dam thats some painful looking photo..

    I was promised a two inch scar pencil thin.its 10 cm, I am about £6000 down after three operations and I am at exactly the same stage as before I started except for the butchered line across the back of my head.sounds stupid but I regret that more than many things in life as I am now disfigured!

       I've had 6 Fraxel treatments done on my recipient area. I'd say my skin is about 90-95% of the way back to normal. The improvement has been very dramatic. I am very happy that I had it done. The good thing about fraxel is that you can keep doing it every month or two and you will continue to see improvements with each treatment. I am going to try to have 1 more treatment done before I get MHT done. 
     I have heard that fraxel will destroy your mht so be sure to do it before mht.

    i didnt bother with fraxel and got pivots on my scalp but the mht covers it really well cant notice it all but if i go too hard with a razor it does make them areas really red
