Hi guys, firstly here are some before and after pics:
COMING VERY SOON!
WOW,OMG ,where's the phone ,I've seen enough! Thank you
Sorry for the pic links, just didn't want to lower image size for all to see....
So, I'll give you my full story now my treatment is at an end (well may have a touch up next year!).
As from my pics you will see I was COMPLETELY bald, off the scale. I started loosing my hair in my early 20's, and for anyone who has experienced this a t such a young age knows what turmoil it brings!!!
I tried all the usual suspects to hide my thinning dome, and in the end went for the shaved look to minimise the balding look. It worked ok for a few years, but with time and sun exposure on my virtually bald dome my skin colour and tone began to change to an aweful blotchy red and brown patches. I hated it, and could only conceal it using the dreaded sprays etc which really is a nightmare!
After years I of using this stuff putting me in countless embarassing situations I decided I must quit the cover ups and bare all as a hair system was never going to be an option for me - that was until I came across HIS on the tinternet!!!
I contacted HIS and spoke with Ian about 2 years ago. I told him my all too familiar situation and booked in for a consultation. For anyone who hasn't met Ian, he really is a nice bloke and like anyone who is reading this has gone through what we've gone through, so he knows your pain. I explained to Ian I diidn't want a strong line like headline, more a VERY soft Freddie Ljumberg style, so it looked like I had hair, albeit receeding and VERY NATURAL!!
I think Ian was a little surprised as most of his patients want a more defined hair line, but as I'm a Commercial Pilot, I couldn't go off work one week and turn up the next looking like a Rapper!!!
So with all this in mind, I booked in for my first treatment having 2 weeks off work thinking all would be done and dusted before I went back to work. Well, the treatment wasn't too painful, more annoying, the more frightening aspect was my expectations and fears with which I toiled with for days after the treatment. I'll be blunt, it looked horrendous at first. I now know why, but at the time I was in bits as I thought it looked aweful. Infact, I had nothing to fear, after the first 2-3 days the redness (affects some worse than others I'm told, and my subsequent treatments were no where near as bad) begun to disapear leaving what I could only describe as dots. Again I panic'd and rang Ian who reassuringly assured me it will fade over the next few days - which it did!
After a week it had faded, the redness gone and the small scabs had dropped off leaving a very realistic initial hair line and filling. This is where I went about things a little differently to most, as most have all the treatments done after the first treatment say a week later, whereas I had to return to work and couldn't commit to my next reatment for nearly 12 Months.........
So after nearly 12 Months of very happy and carefree headgrooming I contacted HIS for my 2nd treatment. This tme with things expanding rapidly at HIS I was booked in with Paul Clarke (Clarkey). Didn't know what to expext, only I wanted to have the soft "Freddie" look.
Paul was brilliant and listened to everything I wanted, and delivered. He really is amazing at what he does and very patient and understanding. He did my 2nd treatment early 2011 and really made what was what I thought a great job even better, especially as my 1st treatment had faded quite a lot - this was due to my request of a very light pigment which in heindsight was too light. 2nd tretment took about 2 hours and the guys did tell me I would probably need another as the 1st had faded and my special circumstances had dictated a very long gap between treatments.......
Went away for Summer very happy, and what was best is no-one noticed my thickening hair just the odd comment from people asking was I growing my hair as it looked thicker.
So, after about 6-8Months I again contacted HIS to get my final treatment and request Clarkey. All happened last week, so the pics I've put up above are post last treatment by 1 week, so there will be a little more fading. All I can say is WOW. I'm over the moon - I have the exact look I was looking for, not too harsh, just a receeding "Freddie" look. Clarkey came up with the goods - big time!!!!
To summerise my HIS experience, I'd have to say they have completely changed my life. The work they are doing is miracle work. Not only are they helping people like myself who have simplky fell foul of the dreaded MPB, but victims of botched hair transplants, scars from accidents, alopecia etc......All of them have been extremely professional, ad caring too.
Thank you HIS, keep up the good work and if anyone is contemplating this treatment but a little sceptic, don't be, you won't be dissapointed - I promise!

Jimbo, would you like me to repost your photos so they are visible on the forum?
Jimbojet,
Just had a look at your pics. Looks good mate.
A few questions about the after photos:
What did you use to shave your head for these photos (wet shave, remington electric beard razor etc)?
How long did you let it grow from shaving till when the photos were taken? (12hours 24hours etc)
How long after your last treatment were the photos taken?
Cheers matey
Jimbo
Jimbo and Jimbojet? Wow now I'm confused !
Hi Damien,
Yes please, that would be great, had a few problems with the image hosting - also, if you could can you remove or edit my first post to have them there or with my post.
Cheers
Jim, I use a philips tri-dry shaver, best results by far! Pics taken exactly 1 week after my last (3rd) treatment ie took them this morning!!!
Cheers
I must say that it's a very natural soft receding look which looks fantastic. Thanks for the pics.
Hi Jimbojet,
Thanks for sharing. I want to do this procedure, but I'm worried about the fading over time. You mentioned yours faded considerably since your first session; you said it was because it was too light, however. If it was actually done darker, do you believe it wouldn't have faded much to the point where a second session wouldn't be needed in the future? Also, when you had your second session, was there any fading going on before the third treatment, 6-8 months later? The longevity is a big question to me. Why do you think you will need to have a touch up next year -- due to more fading?
But it looks very good, thanks for sharing.
Hi Anotherguy,
Initially I was VERY worried that the treatment would look like too much too soon. I wanted a subtle re-growth as it were!
I explained this at my 1st treatment, and as I was probably displaying very nervous tendancies Ian and Ranbir went for a very light pigment. All pigments fade as the skin recovers, so I would say at least 2 weeks should pass before you have the finished shade. That said, I would not recommend only one treatment, as I thought I would get away with one treatment, but it looks so much better with 2 or 3. It probaly all comes down to taste.
My Journey has worked well for me, as I've become more confient in the treatment I've gone a little darker, not much, and a lot less than most, still a little at a time. Yes the treatment does fade a little - hence you having to look after it. If you sit in the sun unprotected every day it will damage the treatment, just as it would your skin, so look after it. My head looks very natural in my opinion, and no one has said anything other than complimentary...
So, to re-itterate - I would say it will fade a little, but how much all depends on how brave you are initially, I wanted the soft hair line so started light then built up little by little, look after it and be proud, as you will not look back....
Hope that helps :-)
ps I will probably have a touch up for density reaons, not fading! The more you get used to it the more you want, but there has to be a point where enough is enough, I just think I will have one more treatment left to tidy up any areas I'm not 100% with!
You look fantastic man. What a transformation from the before to now. I'm hoping for the same with me when I sit in the chair in a few weeks. Congrats.
Jimbojets photos to follow. All except 3, as couldnt access them
first batch
second batch
third batch
Very cool new look! Awesome
JB
Here are the others, I've managed to get their size down for posting :-)
If its a receding thinning look you have gone for Jimbo then HIS have got it spot on.
Thats exactly what I wanted, and worked with HIS team to achieve - hence the Freddie look!
Really pleased with the results, I didn't want a strong hair line, just a nice subtle receeding look like Mr. Ljumberg. I will probably have a touch up next year just in the middle and middle front, but not the hair line, as I think it is now spot on for what I was trying to acheive, not too dark and linear!
Jimbojet, how would you feel about using your photos for a case study? If you'd rather not reply on here, just email me at damien@hishairclinic.com
Hi Damien, I'd rather not at the moment, just because of the nature of my work! I'm cool with the photos being used here on the forums as I can control them. I may change my mind in time though.
Cheers
J
Absolutely fine, your decision. If you want to create one later on let me know
Looks great Jimbo jet! Super match. Hope it doesn't lighten too much over the next couple of weeks.
It really looks natural. Congratulations!
Hi Smarty,
I think initially (1st treatment) we went with about 42 all over, which is VERY light!
2nd dropped it to about 36/38 so a little darker, and finally 3rd treatment 28/30.....
I think those figures are correct, but not 100% sure. I know for definite they dropped in darker around the back and sides, the top too, then came in lighter for the frontal hair line and a lot sparser for the soft natural look. Cheers
Cheers jimbojet
Hi ya jimbojet
I think they have done a great job on you. You have your life back. Its a great look.
I want the receding look too.
I shall refer to your case when I have my consulation this week(i hope)
I'm longing to shrug off the low feeling of being bald and the butt of peoples jokes just because they have hair, the funny thing is if the wheels were turned they would be looking for a solution also. I always heard people say (with hair) "I wouldn't be bothered about loosing my hair". They say that as a mature man and not as a teen or twenty something young man. Its not just about loosing your hair, you want to blend in and be part of the crowd. Obiously its about confidence too.
I would feel confident with a MHT like yours.
Looks fantastic Jimbojet. Would be the look I would go for.
