Northpole,
Don't worry, I am always brutally honest regardless of whether or not that earns me any fanfare.
Truth be told, after 2 treatments it looks way too light for my taste. If they told you 3 sessions, it must have been an estimate, because I highly doubt that with just 3 sessions you will happy unless your technician actually goes significantly darker and even so, time again we have learned that regardless of how dark the last session is, the treatment always lightens enough to warrant most to go in for a "final" session.
If I were in your shoes, I would ask why exactly they have gone so light with your case from the beginning. Clearly, this is causing you concern, because if not you wouldn't have mentioned it to us (for reassurance and some support which is perfectly fine).
I will ask again, where did you go to have your treatment done and who was your practitioner?
I know HiTop mentioned that you had your session(s) in the NYC clinic, but I highly doubt that, because based on this video still that I captured from their LA clinic highlights (http://i1114.photobucket.com/albums/k521/DHTassassin1/LAClinicStill.jpg), I can clearly see that it was done in LA by way of comparison to your posted pictures which you took in their identical LA treatment room.
That aside, who was your practitioner?
Why do I ask? Simple, if certain practitioners have a habit of going too light, or not dense enough or, simply put, don't have the best track record, it can be helpful to those considering treatments in the future.
Why is it helpful to name them?
These procedures are costly, slightly painful, time consuming (demanding time off for some) and can take an emotional toll on certain individuals whereby they might feel slightly terrified at the idea of walking out with something on their heads that looks short of pristine for others to pick at.
I know that it is often shunned upon to mention practitioner names here, but this is not the first time we are seeing a case where someone's treatment looks way too light short of their last session. If it were merely an issue of density, you would be able to tell us that the amount of replicated follicles clearly fall short in number compared to your native follicles, but this is clearly not the case since you mentioned that upon bringing this up to the practitioner he said it was a matter of him going "slightly lighter".
Anyhow, those are my thoughts. I hope I don't offend you in any way; I am just trying to be as honest as I would like EVERYONE to be with me if I decide to go for the treatment and post subsequent pictures for critique.
I wish you the best of luck,
DHT
