   Hi All

   We speak with a lot of people who have scars on their scalps. These scars are usually the result of hair transplant surgery, although there are exceptions such as Ryans story here:

   Do you have scars as a result of Strip, FUT or FUE transplant surgery? I'm sure that others would benefit from seeing your photographs and learning about your experience. If you are willing to post a photo or two, or just talk about your scar story, please post on this thread.

   Norton clinic are butchers. Now trading under the name fue clinics. Please google them with the word "butcher" after. If you want to go from bald to empty with a 9 inch scar on the back of your head contact them. Face it when your bald you can shave it off. When your heads been butchered and are self aware you will have to wear your hair long with the empty look on top! After your online research, ring the number on fueclinics and say is that Jeremy Isherwood. When he replies yes. Then google his name. After you have done all this you will thank me for the advice I just gave.Technically they are monsters, and will make you into monster if you let them operate on you. They do not do hair transplants they do monstrosity's. "Make you look monstrous"

   Greetings, first post here.  I have significant scarring from prior transplants and am considering scalp pigmentation.  Here's my question... I have seen pictures of very impressive results in terms of camouflaging prior scars.  However, I've also seen a couple sets of photos where the scarring was still more visible than I personally would want.  In both cases, it *appeared* as if the individual had gotten some sun (i.e, some tan) on his head, which resulted in the scar area being more visible.  Given that, to my knowledge, scar tissue doesn't tan, this would seem to make sense.  So... can anyone speak to the issue of sun on your head after scalp pigmentation?  Must sun be avoided in order to prevent scarring from being "highlighted"?  Thanks in advance for any insights...

   As scarring doesnt tan, it stands to reason that if the scalp were tanned, the scar tissue would be more obvious. Scalp pigmentation will lessen this effect, but not prevent it entirely.

   MHT is not a perfect camouflage for scars, but offers a way to make such scars much less visible, and in some cases, almost invisible.

   Well weirdly enough, mine has tanned....or as I like to call it, "weathered" so its now the same colour as the rest of my skin. I was really worried about this as the scar on top of my head was left rather exposed when I first had the treatment.  If you look at my initial pictures, you can still see my scar quite visible, however this was after two treatments, and about a week after i came back off my holiday.  As my skin was still quite sensitive, I wore factor 50 every day, all day...to protect my bonce.  Over the months thuogh, as I work outside a lot, and just with every day comings and goings, my scalp changed colour and blends in even better now. My scar is still shiney though, but a bit of talc on it along with matte moisturiser helps quite a bit. My scarring is very odd though, not like a normal transpalnt scar.  To sum it up, Ian said last year when I had my first consiltation, he had never seen scarring like mine ever before

                 The work they did on you is amazing. The scars are very difficult to see. BTW it looks like they just worked on covering up your scars, or did you have work done on your entire scalp?

    Thank you mate, no i only wanted my scar sorting, as it was that that was troubling me, on the fence about getting the rest done, i guess im happy now being bald didnt worry me, but the scar did. having said that if iwas 20 years younger i would probably have it all done

    Hey All,

    This is a pic of my dreaded  hair transplant scars.  I have had three MHT treatments with HIS. The scars are very noticeable and white.The scars  make me really self conscience. I still find myself looking for a hat before leaving the house.

    How old are your scars? I am curious if there is a relationship between the age of scars and how well they take the pigments. (if you told this in another thread, I'm sorry for forgetting)
    Have you spoke with HIS about your scars and have you scheduled time in to get them worked on more?
    (I know how you feel about the scars being something that makes you self conscious of yourself. I do the same thing.. Door bell rings and I go try to find a hat before answering it.) I was told that we should see a 90%+ improvement in our scars, yours isn't close to that right now. I was quoted that I would need up to 4 treatments for my scar, Is that what they told you?

    @ Warrior, my apologies for misspelled words I was rushing. The scars are 20+ years, I have attempted to schedule an appointment many times. Head Quarters (UK) is telling me they don't have practitioners in there LA office. After the initial treatment I suggested they should use darker ink. The practitioner explained why that probably wouldn't be a good idea. So They used the ink they thought was a good choice. My scars are white and very visible from a good distance. As for the number of sessions.They said it would take three maybe four sessions, but as you can see the scars are not camouflaged. In the forum I have seen great scar work...my bad for ranting...

    Are HIS continuing to treat your scarring free of charge beyond the number of sessions that they initially suggested, or are you having to pay extra for each additional session?

    Hi mate it took 3 treatments over 3 weeks basically 1 per week

    Only thing i will say is if i let it grow for more than 3 - 4 days you can start to see it, so basically i use a cordless whal every other day, or even every evening, but im used to doing that now
