Thanks Paul. I really didn't want to ever look at the before pics but I think for what HIS did for me, if it helps them and people suffering from all forms of hair loss then it's worth it.
If they can fix me, they can fix anyone. And the work is flawless. No one knows my scalp was devastated like that. There's no way they can tell. I can't even tell anymore.I suffered from a form of scarring alopecia called Lichen Planopilaris. I had my first treatment with HIS on 11/28/2011 and it's changed my life for the better. Thanks guys. I'm just thrilled with it. Had to go to a birthday party for my nephew this weekend and was reflecting how stressful this was in the past worrying about was my hair covering my loss before being able to leave the house and all day through these types of events. There used to be so much build up in my head before events like this.
Now I'm ready to go anywhere in 15 minutes.I think if I added up all the time I spent worrying about my hair over the past 5 years or so it would astonish me.My results are fantastic and should encourage anyone on the fence to go through with this.If any of you guys out there need a pep talk don't hesitate to PM me. I'm passionate about what HIS can do for you after seeing what it has done for me.I suffered from a form of scarring alopecia called Lichen Planopilaris. You deserve it man.
I can't imagine how you life has been before the treatment because of your problem.
Congratulations man.

Hairkiller - thanks for the thoughts. I honestly didn't know how bad my hair loss had gotten because my hair was long and grown out. I knew about the giant patch on top, but I had no idea what was happening on the sides and the back. The great thing was when we discovered it after shaving me at HIS, Ian put my mind at rest right away and said they were going to fill in all the gaps and make it work and they did. I can't tell where some of the spots are/were and the one's I can tell I can only tell when my hair grows out past them.

Hey guys. Here are some updated photo's that are 2 weeks post my 4th mini treatment. Pigment is settling into that very nice natural place and there is no fading as you can see from my other pics. I wet shaved yesterday at around 4pm and just did a pass with the R-91 at noon the following day. Didn't really need to do a pass w/the R91 but I'm going out to lunch w/a friend in a bit and wanted to do a safety pass if you will. I'm back in the gym sweating. Making sure to moisturize after shaving and before bed. Ranbir suggested to do a quick moisturize before bed every night and it's helping my scalp stay smooth and hydrated. Again, my 4th session was a mini-session that lasted maybe an hour and a half and was just to work on the blending & a few problem spots. We did use a darker pigment on the 4th go round. I think it was 14. That being said, most of what you see is what was achieved in my 3rd session.

well bballfan
surley a full price session, first 2 sessions last 3 hours.unless you requested half sessions.because to me you seem to be recieving considerably lesstreatment time in the chair than the average punter like myself..sureley that is relevent to your slower progress..im not even a rocket scientist..im not stirring it up im simply stating the obvious..Posted 3 months ago # -
Thanks for all the love guys. It means a lot to me.
Bballfan - I had to have my top, sides and back down to the base of my skull done in spots so for me 1.5 hours is a cake walk hence why I call it a mini-session.The color is good but I do think if you look at my previous photo's the look hasn't changed significantly since treatment 2.I'm actually very pleased seeing there aren't any major differences from treatments 2-4 pic wise as that tells me I'm not seeing fading in a big way. I had my first session at the end of November and we're now in February and I feel like it's looking good.Really pleased with it and I will continue to pop in this thread every couple of weeks/months to update with pictures since I see a lot of posters wanting to see what this looks like months after your final session. If I see any fading I'll be the fist to say it here. That said, I do see settling which is just pigment going from that dark fresh look when you leave a session to a more natural look weeks later.I can see how some guys get upset since that dark fresh look is pretty fricking cool, but as you can see from my pics once it starts to settle the natural look works well.I can't wait to get some real sun on my head and see if tanning the skin gradually helps my overall look down the road.I suffered from a form of scarring alopecia called Lichen Planopilaris. Its amazing how us guys see this treatment so differently. Yes the fresh look was good, but I find now its settled down and matches my own hair that it looks far more natural and more like a proper shaved head.

Buster - Me too. What the pigment settles into is the most undetectable look. It's actually pretty fun watching it get there and realizing that it's looking more and more natural.
That fresh look leaving the clinic is pretty awesome though and I understand why guys get upset when that settles into something more natural. I think when you've been missing hair for so long in spots seeing that dark pigment is so exciting. That being said, what the treatment settles into is the undetectable resultI know I wished for when I started this journey.I suffered from a form of scarring alopecia called Lichen Planopilaris. JB, where in Bergen County are you. I am actually as I write this closing on selling my home in Hudson County and looking to buy in Bergen County. JB, you and I have a few things in common; for example, I have read where you are a dad to a wonderful and special person, your son, and I am an educator for the last 11 years in this field, working with the autistic population in my district, which happens to be in Bergen County; one of my dreams has always been to drive my car with my top off and not worry about a thing, much like you, I also drive a Vette; you are a devoted family man and so am I, with 2 boys, 21, 17, and our princess, 6; been married for 25 years and still head over heels for my beautiful wife; you love working out and so do I. Hey man, what you are doing is great. I am inspired by you, and I would love to meet you, and even more so since I am getting this process done beginning on March 30th.

Just to update. I'm way over a month after my 4th treatment. Color has settled into a real natural look which I like. My biggest issue for now is keeping it short. Wet shaving gives the best/longest result. These pics are about an hour after shaving w/the R91. I'm really excited now that we're approaching spring here that I can start to get some color on my head. I think that could help the blend from hair to MHT on top of my scalp. Overall, I'm thrilled. I do miss my hair sometimes, but I don't miss that mess of concealer and hair spray I lived with for 4 years. Hope everyone is doing well and thank you for all the nice comments. They always mean a lot.

Still holding up and look well.
I can't believe how Ranbir and Aldemar were able to seamlessly apply MHT between your LPP and your remaining hair.
Thanks for the update, buddy.

Just wanted to give a quick update as I promised I would continue to do this as time went on. <div></div><div>I'm now over 3 months since my 4th session on 1/16/12 and my first session was over 5 months ago. </div><div></div><div>Still thrilled with my result. Since the weather has warmed up and I've been able to get a little sun on my scalp (with sunscreen) I think it's helping my treatment blend even better. My scalp was very white as my head had never been shaved prior to treatment so I think the ability to get some tan up there will help the look overall. </div><div></div><div>The key for me is always having to keep it short. When my existing hair grows out a little, it's darker than the MHT. When it's shaved, it blends very well. </div><div></div><div>No one has any idea what I've done. I keep getting asked either "why don't you grow your hair out?" or "when are you going to grow it back out?" by people. Now I just respond "No way. I love this look" and that shuts them right down. </div><div></div><div>The best part of all of this for me? I'm driving with the sunroof open and the windows down. A year ago this time I would panic if my wife cracked a window in the car after I did my hair. Now, she's constantly putting the windows up and closing the sunroof because I have them open all the time. </div><div></div><div>I can't stress enough that if you're on the fence about this procedure, try to do a consult. This treatment has the ability to change your life. I'm living completely different than last year. Everything was hats. When I didn't have a hat on it was fear of wind and rain. Down is up now. </div><div></div><div>Yeah, I miss the way I looked with a full of head of hair. I won't lie about that. But I didn't have a full head of hair anymore and this option has allowed me to transition to something I can live with and have grown to love. </div><div></div><div>To be honest when I look at all the pictures I've taken of myself over the past 5 months, I don't see a huge change in the treatment. It's holding well. I go to the gym and sweat like a beast. I take long showers. I use the steam room once in awhile. I've gotten some sun on my head with sunscreen on it. </div><div></div><div>The hardest part is shaving and that's not hard at all. I'll post some more pics as the months go on so you guys have a frame of reference for how the longevity of the treatment works. Right now, 5 months after my 1st session and 3 months after my 4th, everything is great. No complaints at all. </div>
