   Hi all,

   I don't make it shy that i am one of those "Jersey Shore" types meaning that I like to keep a strong tan year round........also, I like to bang drunk girls but that is besides the point

   anyway, I've been considering ditching the hat when I go tanning and just using this Fragrance Free High SPF sunscreen I've found by Neutragena

   anyway, it is fragrence free and oil free and is a spf 60.

   What is everyone's thoughts on this for the treated area?

   Expand on this a little more...  

   Do you prefer girls that are just a little tipsy or are you into fullblown, drunk girls that have passed out in a puddle of their own vomit?

   girls that are alittle tipsy, for sure
   I just feel bad with the fullblown, drunk girls nowadays.  plus, the fullblown drunk girls always end up crying sometime during the night

   Only thing that concerns me about the second, is the fact it mentions this:

   "....unique technology to not only protect your Tattoo's from Fading, but it
   also contains active ingredients that help brighten and enhance the
   colours and ink of your Tattoo's"

   Sounds like advertising BS, but wouldn't want these 'active ingredients' affecting the MHT in a negative way.

   yes interesting products that australian-gold.you really need to know what the hidden ingredient is..but good reccomendation.thats why we need proper tested aftercare product reccomendations.because at the end of the day the sun protection products we get off the chemist shelf giving our mht treatment the full protection it needs.

   @Scott123 and Remingtonchap- the austrailian gold products look great.  Hell, there are sunblocks with spfs of 110......but, I don't think they are fragrence free.

   Honestly, I don't know if the fact that one sunblock is fragrence free or not is that big a deal but I'd still rather opt for the fragrence free one as that the one I use on my normal tattoos

   If a mod or someone who has had MHT for a while could chime in I would appreciate it

   For the first few months of your treatment use factor  50, then gradually lower it. Trust me if you like being tanned and I mean tanned you don't want your head to be pale it looks stupid.

   
   

   I just use factor 4 tanning oil same as I use on my face and body, the MHT looks even better with a tan. I'm always tanned either from working away or when i'm in England using sunbeds and constantly check for signs of fading as of yet nothing has happened. I had the treatment done I think about 20 months ago always in the sun and it is even better now with the tan then when it was first done.

    See, I was planning on wearing a swimcap in the sunbed but I think i'm just gonna use this strong SPF sunscreen given your post

    Have you seen that Scandinavian stuff that skiiers use? Instead of a cream its a clear lotion that you apply once then lasts all day.

    I only mention it because sunblock can get quite heavy after a few applications, and I've found that if you sweat before it has totally soaked in, it comes right back out again.

    I can only find it up to SPF20, but they may do stronger flavours?? I've used this personally and can say it is brilliant.

    No fading at all mate, I use a shaving mirror with the magnified side to get a very close look and no change at all. I would say having a tan compliments the treatment more.

    Your best bet is allowing the treatment to settle for a few months and then gradually use a lesser factor until you use the same on your head as you do your body. Trust me though being tanned and having a pale head looks weird lol

    @Lea- thanks mate,
    I'm actually gonna start tanning in a week which will be 6 weeks since my final HIS session.  I'm not gonna wear a hat in the bed.  I'm just gonna put on this 60 SPF lotion I have and apply it just before tanning.  I also plan on going to central america soon and I don't plan on really wearing a hat so I will do the same there as well

    @Damien- thanks for the suggestion.  However, I'm gonna stick with this product I have now as it is fragrence free and is a higher SPF

    Tanning after 6 weeks shouldn't be a problem mate, 2 weeks after mine I had too work in Sri Lanka used a factor 50 on it and no problems at all.

    
    

    If I jump on the sunbed for a quick 6 minute session top up I don't use anything on my head. I only do when i'm on it longer or out in the sun for long periods. I think only excessive sunburn to your treated area could damage it you know your limitations, work within them and you'll be fine mate.

    btw, how much does it matter if your suncreen is "fragrence free"?

    I mean, I prefer to have a sunscreen that is fragrence free however sometimes it may be unavailable at a local drugstore so I may have to opt for one that isn't fragrence free but has a high SPF

    I think its more the 'less chemicals aspect' of having the fragrance free thats a benifit to the HIS treatment 'just incase' the chemical reacts with or fades the pigment...

    First and Second treatment complete... 3rd session done on March 28th.... Its looking good..
