Hair Loss Treatment for Baldness, Thinning Hair, Alopecia & Hair Transplant Scar

   This man in this case study has the exact same hair as me except mines a little fairer in colour and he has the same scar before the procedure, anyone got any idea how much it would cost to achieve the same results as this guy?I was only going to just have the scar done but this case study has impressed me enough to do the rest of my head.Also what has he used to shave his head in these ,anyone got any ideas?

   My favourite result so far. Would be nice is this guy was on the forums or to have some pictures after the redness is gone. hes got a fair amount of hair still, and the MHT seems to be blending well.

   Is he buzz cutting to '0'?

   Need hi-res photos!

   Looks good from the front but wouldnt it be more necassary to have a picture of the back of the head like the first pic so people can see how well its covered the scar ???

   Hey guys, I'm glad you digg the results and I'd be more than happy too answer any questions. I've just come back after having some personal touch ups while I have time off work and I will post the near final results once I can shave my head.  

   
   

   @Haircules - In these photos I used a Remington R91 face shaver. I'm currently using a Remington R5150 because it cuts the hair a lot quicker and the battery lasts fairly long. It also doesn't take too long to charge and is ideal for use on trips/holidays or if I need it asap. Both do a great job and leave some stubble which I really like. 

   
   

   @Neversaynever - I've steered away from hair clippers because they don't seem to get the result I'm looking for and sometimes cuts uneven. I'd recommend a face shaver (Remington) which do a fantastic job. 

   I'll also post some hi rez photos once the redness on the scar goes down, due to being treated on and becoming a little irritated.

   Overall it's looking fantastic and it's a million times better compared to what I had when I first walked into the HIS Hair clinic.

   @John - 
   Very, very happy dude and I'm looking forward to road testing the new look soon. I usually buzz it at least every second day for best results. I don't like to keep it any longer because the scar becomes more prominent.

   THANKYOU so much for your reply great information on what you use to shave your head, im after the result you have, i had a hair transplant aswell a year ago and wasnt happy with results.how good does your scar look?  that is causing me the most concern,Is it noticable at all? how much did it cost in total if you dont mind me asking?

    @Damien im blown away by this guys results, that scar looks so well hidden you wouldn't know anything which is what im after,And the rest of his head looks fantastic aswell im really tempted to get the rest done now im just a bit scared becausse of my bad hair transplant experience.
    I was wondering if i had it done to compliment my hair transplant which i got alot of coverage from but is thin and the hairline is still not what wanted so if i lowered it slighty can i still buzz it down with the face shaver to give it a buzzed looked rather than wet shave?

    @ Haircules - Thank you for the kind words and I'm glad your enjoying the results of my new look. I've had 3 hair transplants, 2 for the top of my head and 1 to fill in the scar (FUE). The advantage of having a hair transplant gives the person the extra hair through the top you would of mostly lost from natural hair loss. When people run their hands over your head, they will still feel some stubble and instantly think you have a full head of hair with the MHT treatment. 

    
    

    I've also had my hairline lowered a little, because as you know, your skin is stretched when they need to stitch the wound, pulling your forehead further back and making it look longer. My hairline didn't get lowered drasticly and it still allows me to face shave my head without noticing anything has been altered.

    
    

    Personally, I'd just get the full treatment and resolve the whole hair loss/balding issue and move on with your life. Technically it may not be a full head of hair, but it's the only treatment I've found that has given me the desired results (full head of hair) I have been wanting and searching desperately for the past nine years.  

    
    

    P.s I was also scared coming down from Australia, not knowing what I was getting myself into, but you'll be fine because the staff is fantastic and the results are truly incredible.

    WOW! I am blown away by your after pic shaved down. I thought the above pic was after the repair as the FUE has masked it quite well. How many MHT treatments did you have on your scar and did you have any resurfacing (laser, dermabrasion) done to your scar. Also, how old is the scar?

    Congratulations on your new life and thanks for sharing your pics. This is the best repair job that I have seen on a scar to date after a year of searching.

    Hey Scarredup5, Thanks for the kind words. It's a very exciting time in my life and I'm looking forward to feeling on top of the world for the first time in a long time. The FUE did make an ever so slightly difference, but the scar was still very red and noticeable. I've had approximately 6 to 6 1/2 full MHT treatments for my entire head. I've had no laser/dermabrasion treatment and the results have been entirely achieved by MHT. It's taken a few treatments to achieve this result, but I honestly feel HIS has hit the nail on the head and I'm very excited that the scar is no longer noticeable unless your using a CSI microscope. We have to remember though, that a scar never completely disappears because the tissue is some what damaged and a different texture/surface to your normal undamaged skin. I had my first transplant at the end of 2007 and then another in 2008 and in 2009(FUE).

    How many grafts have you had transplanted in total (not including fue into scar)? When you say hair clippers dont get you the right results, do you mean they dont cut your hair short enough?

    You went from australia to London SIX times, how much did all this cost?

    Hey Neversaynever, I'd say between 3,500 to 5,000 max grafts ( It's just a guess, but I don't think it was anything more or less).

    
    

    I've only been to the UK twice, the first time involved about 3 1/2 full sessions and the most recent one involved about 2 1/2 to 3 full sessions ( The sessions span over a few weeks). The second trip was for personal touch ups because I've got some free time and I wanted to get it looking it's best entering into the new year. 

    
    

    Spot on, the hair clippers for me any ways, doesn't cut it short enough and sometimes it doesn't cut it even. I can pretty much use the Remington's and do an almost perfect job with just a mirror and my hand. 

    
    

    Honestly, the price of HIS+food+tickets+ accommodation +PS3 games+extras is a whole lot cheaper than getting a hair transplant, which only leaves you feeling empty because you expected to have a lot more coverage. The only pain is the flight, it takes about 24hours to get to the UK and it takes about a week to feel normal. Overall, the HIS treatment has been money well spent and it comes at a small price when it allows you to be as free as a bird. ;)

    I love your result!  Looks amazing!  I have a similar situation but with a bit more hair on top still (not for much longer I'm sure though!).  A couple questions for you if you don't mind?

    
    

    Did they do a "base coat" so to speak across the entire head in your first session INCLUDING work on your scar, or did they do scalp for a full session, scar for a full session type of deal?  I'm just curious because I'd love to have both move along at the same pace traveling the distance I am between sessions (Toronto to New York).  I'd hate to have my first 2 sessions done on the scalp and have to fly home and go back to work for a month with an obvious scar there that's been previously hidden!

    
    

    Also, how many sessions did it take before the scar showed substantial improvement?  It certainly looks amazing in the end, but after 1 or 2 sessions was it a different story entirely?
