Hi guys, I had the treatment done on my huge bald head. It's the biggest head Ian has ever seen! LOL. literaly. Anyways my wife and I went to london, amsterdam, and paris and it was the trip of a lifetime to say the least!! We went and based our whole trip around this procedure. I was sooooooooooo nervous and had tons of anxiety because I needed the whole top done and knew it would be obvious. Well, some of my friends just thought I looked younger, some said I lost weight, and then others just said WTF you've always been bald. Also at work I've delt with question after question. Most just say wow, you're letting it grow out? And then others know I had something done, I just tell them it's a new procedure and they color the hair folicles. Some say it looks good others say I look wierd It has definately taken some getting used to. I can say that it couldn't look better. I don't know how he does so good but it matches the rest of my hair perfect. And only if you get within about a foot and half you can't tell. I don't bic my head only shave it with a 0. I feel so much more confident without a hat. To all bald, balding men!! PLEASE help each other and tell your mates not to have the transplants done and what happens. I work with some and I feel so bad because they are losing the rest of their hair and only has the transplanted part left, it looks bad and everyone can see their scar on the back. I do highly, highly recommend this to everyone questioning or having doubts. Ian is amazing. And will take care of you. Just do it and quit waiting. The price is very good, especially compared to any other options.Posted 1 year ago #

Sounds like a positive experience. But you need to take your "real" hair shorter if there is a contrast and possibly bic it. You say people can tell within a foot and a half but they definately wont if you take the hair at sides and back even shorter.Posted 1 year ago #

I go with what Sean says. Take the sides shorter. I have met forum members who have had it done and have the back and sides shaved and you cant tell even if right up to it as it matches so well.Posted 1 year ago #

Yes agree with the lads. If you can tell where the hair starts it means you are letting you real hair grow to much. I shave mine with a razor and it looks much better and much more realistic. Then again I have hardly any hair left on top, Im sure you can have it a little longer if you are graced with a little more hair.Had my treatment in Birmingham 2010Posted 1 year ago #

Here's an update. I had it done in may and was extremely nervous. I also never wanted to "bic" my head. I have some small scars from acne or something and was worried they'd be seen. Well... after months and being happy with my procedure I decided to bic it. And to my surprise it looks even better and has added to my confidence even more. Think about it guys. Can you look worse than bald. Trust me it looks and feels great. I couldn't be happier. It changed the whole perception of my face. Just do itPosted 1 year ago #

Hey Tomzell, I've had my treatment done as well and i have to say yours one one of the "before and afters" that convinced me to go for it. I think it looks great, have you got any pics of when you used a bic on it? The reason i ask is becasue i'm using clippers now and not sure weather to use the razor for a better finish? It must look really short on the sides!! also i only had my hairline filled as it was receeding so i don't want the rest to look more pale than the front if you know waht i mean. cheersPosted 1 year ago #

Hi guys. Glad to hear that your treatments have gone well. Like Tomzell I now razor, but have only had the guts to shave down not up and against the grain. The shaved look does look alot cleaner and neater, but due to my lack of hair on top the clip look was never really going to be an option. The reason I do not want to shave against the grain is due to scalp damaged caused by my old hair unit on the back and sides. Im going in to see Ian in October when he is back from the states to get this sorted as the pigment hasn't settled quite as well in these areas as in the rest of my scalp. Still looks amazing tho, but once done I can then shave properly and with confidence. If you have good strong hair on the back and sides I would recommend a shaved look for sure.Had my treatment in Birmingham 2010Posted 1 year ago #

I think it would make life easier, i just don't want it to look like a bald head. I just reckon a wet shave look would do that.Posted 1 year ago #

Hey all, I am thinking of having this procedure done as I was all set to make FUE appointments around the country and then stumbled on this website, I think the after pics look great, however as you will appreciate, I would need more convinving (but that is just me, very very cynical about everything). I will be arranging a consultation as I understand the guy there has had it done (Ian?), but knowing me I will need to see other guys as well as the guy who performs the procedure as this will be for life so I want to get it right. Also, there is a lot of talk about Bic'cing (is that a word? ...Razoring) your heads, I have always used an electirc razor as I wanted to go lower than a grade zero but not so low I would be showing my bald scalp. Try it, I think I should have copyrite'd that idea? lol. But see what you think as this is safer and cheaper than buying expensive razors and can be done anytime/anywhere. So, if there is anyone in the Birmingham area next this coming Friday (or poss the Friday after), could you please get in touch as I really want to see more than one guy who has had this procedure face to face. frankconlan@hotmail.com Cheers guys!Posted 1 year ago #

Hey guys sorry haven't been on i while. I bic with the grain, didn't see much different against it. Feel much better now with it bicked. If you shave with trimmers still just try it with a razor. That's how I took the step. Was scared as hell and just said F-it!! Very happy I did. Some of the ppl I work with still give me weird looks once in while. I am stil very satisfied and my wife still loves it. Just told me yesterday. Plus all I have to do is look back to how I used to look and remember this is way better. Really, it's hard to explain. sometimes I want to change it and forget it's not real, lol. btw I would go darker if I was to do it again. Certain lights I get a good glare and shine and can't see the pigment. Depending on how you have gotten to this point you may still find yourself being insecure about you hair. I do, when ppl don't talk to me in the eye and glance at my head I get that feeling, you know. I often wonder what they're thinking about it.Posted 1 year ago #

oh you mean, you want to change your hairstyle and grow it out and forget thats it's not real? lol. I get it now. I think the weird looks you "think" you're getting is just you just assuming they are giving you weird looks, almost like imagining it, cause deep down you know you got the treatment but you still can't believe that they don't know. Why would they be looking at you with weird looks if they are oblivious to this treatment exisiting as an alternative? There would be no reason for them to look at you weird if they didn't know. Unless you told them? I think that there is still that self conscious feeling about it. You should really let go of that feeling, otherwise you'll never truly be happy with this deep down. you know what people are thinking about when they see a guy with a bald head? it goes like this: stranger -"hey nice to meet you Tomzell" (looks at your head and thinks "he shaves his head, but he has hair and a hairline, guess thats his style. I could never pull that off, that's not for me ") You - "nice to meet you too" (why is he staring at my head? I think he knows my head is tatooed...ugh" seriously, that is the scenario I see with you, Trust me, I highly doubt they are questioning the authenticity of your hair etc, so just stop woryring and breathe easy ;)Posted 1 year ago #

Hi Tomzell, Can you drop me a line on m y email: frankconlan@hotmail.com I would appreciate it if I could ask you a few questions about your procedure, in particular about under lights etc. I am due to have mine done soon and am sort of getting cold feet. Much appreciated. FrankPosted 1 year ago #
