Looking into SMP

Recommended Posts

This is my first post

I am researching SMP to cover old pluggy, cobblestone, pitted transplants.

Should I do it...am I a good candidate, or should I save my money and just have the transplants surgically removed?

Thanks a bunch!!

Thanks Blue Smurf,

I am leaning towards it, but very nervous because there is NO turning back once committed to SMP.  I just want to hide my bad transplants and I am concerned SMP may enhance them.

I was in a similar position. I gave years frightened that SMP would make things worse or that the scars would make me look like a freak. It was all totally unfounded! I felt great after shaving my head. I only got smp into the scar area as I am more than comfortable being bald now. My scar is about 80% covered which is more than plenty to stop anyone even bothering to notice. Trust me, you have the power to put an end to this nightmare and get on with your life.

Do you have any pics of what your head looked like shaved-prior to SMP?

..and then after pics?

I mostly just see donor scar correction and not enough frontal-cobblestone/pitting correction.

This is what I need to see to be convinced.

Thanks brother!

Thanks O.  That looks really good.  Do you think my scalp would be easy to camouflage from looking at my pics?  I have never shaved the transplanted areas.

That thread will give you way more help than I ever can! The common theme is that people are way kinder than you think. I promise, you’ll hardly get a second glance. Looking at my HT everyday made me plain miserable. I hated it. My own personal recommendation is to look at getting smp into the scar areas and have a receding style look. But ultimately there’s only one thing to do....book a consultation. There’s no pressure sales techniques. They are excellent. Then take a bit of time to think things out and make a decision. Don’t even think of getting them surgically removed. People like us have had enough butchering done to our heads to last several lifetimes.

I agree! Do not remove surgically. It is better to consult with specialists

Yeah, thanks Collin!

I am still pondering SMP vs more transplants to best camouflage  an old pluggy hairline.  I had some corrective work years ago and I liked what he did.  Unfortunately, I couldn't afford more grafts, so I was left with only a small amount of correction.

What made you laugh if it's not a secret?

Chic hair?...no... lol!  I am just looking to camo the hairline....will still be very bald but less self conscious about the pluggy hairline.
