Thanks for the info BaldEgo!! Is there a specific model of the braun or just that brand in general? And yes Mr. X definitely performs magic. Wonder how many years he attended at Hogwarts.lol

Mine's a Series 7; I don't have any previous "face time" with the other Braun models, however.

Keep in mind that others here will be equally resolute in their conviction for other brands. You'll need to weigh the feedback for yourself.

Hmmmm 20 seconds compared to my 15 mins would be a great improvement. I'm also looking for a shaver that doesn't shave to close because i prefer the 2 day growth look.

Hi all,

I bought the Braun M90 after reading some reviews and some info here, but it literally cut none of my hair. I even tried on my arm and nothing.

Looking online for the R91, it doesn't seem to be sold anymore. Did HIS just buy up a ton for use in their clinics? They used one on me and I know they don't make replacement heads.

Does the R95 work as well?

Braun series 7 and anything higher is the best. I used an R95 and it leaves a sandpaper feel while the Braun really gets down low quite close to a wet shave without leaving the shine.

Im looking for the sandpaper feel. I was gonna buy the 7 and glad I didn't now. I have very fine hair and I guess maybe foils don't work well on me. The R91 used in the office worked great. I could buy one on ebay but it's twice the price it was sold at and I know it's temporary solution because they don't sell replacement blades so i'd be in the same spot in 6 months.

I first bought the Philips Headgroom (foil) but that thing made my head look like I had red scars all over it. Now I use the Braun Series 9 and it's incredible. Sooooo smooth on the skin and you can both get the sandpaper feeling and the zero millimeter.

For sandpaper feel you just don't press ard and just let it run over the head. But I prefer the zero millimeter look so i just let it dig in a bit harder.

I have the Remington R91, it probably takes me about 1 minute to get my horseshoe down to sandpaper feel. Had it 4 years, never had a problem with it and only cost me £13.
