I’m looking forward to my first and second sessions on May 5th

and May 13th in Chicago’s clinic but…

I’m still struggling to figure out what it means for me to

receive SMP. My hair loss hasn’t dramatically affected my life as I’ve read it
did for some, but there are times when my insecurities become apparent. Hair
loss has an interesting effect on my appearance where the mirror doesn’t
present me how I want to present myself. For this reason, I’ve justified making
a deposit to receive SMP. Still, because SMP is a personal choice, I wonder if
I’m trying to hide my natural hair loss and seek confidence/worth through a
“permanent,” cosmetic procedure.

I think I’ve coped well with my hair loss. I began receding

my senior year of High School, and my hair loss became obvious the summer
before college. I wore a hat for my first year of college (neglecting social
gatherings), until I finally shaved it off the following summer and dropped the
hats. Today as a senior, I wet shave using a double edge razor which has become
a part of my daily ritual.

I’m hoping to have an SMP like Jowell’s. I’m 21 years old,

so I’ll like a “youthful” hairline. I’m looking forward to wear certain
clothing that would otherwise look unfit with a bald head and see my age in the
mirror and photos. I feel like I’ll have more flexibility on presenting myself
with SMP.

I’ll update throughout the process :D  B)  :)

My first session went very well. Mike is a very welcoming person and takes great care of his work. I didn't hesitate to let him take control of the procedure. The pain, though. The pain was awful. I took three short breaks because the pain was barely bearable (Pretty Hurts). For some, it's hardly painful, so I suggest bringing ibuprofen just in case.

Very pleased thus far. I'm considering lowering the hairline, but we'll see until my next appointment (next wednesday).

Any thoughts?

Wow man. That looks great. I think the hairline is perfect where it is. Just wait till your 2nd session. Its going to look awesome. Do you know what shades were used?

Looks good! I think the hairline is spot on. Do you recall where your hairline was when you had a full head of hair?

It actually looks like a similar hairline. Here's a photo from high school before the transformation began lol

I began feeling uneasy after having unedited photos posted, so I deleted, edited and reposted a few...

One photo was taken before SMP. The other two were taken right after my first session.

So, I had my second session today, and I'm feeling very positive about the procedure. Mike was hesitant to drop my hairline, but I thought we could manage it. He's very caring. I'm glad to have him as my practitioner.

The lowest shade used is 24.

I didn't end up using a painkiller. The pain wasn't difficult to manage because I didn't resist it as I did my first session.

I'm going to set an app. for a third session. Hopefully in a month from now.

Any thoughts?
