Booked at Last - Can't Wait! FUE Mess to Get Sorted

Recommended Posts

Couple of pics 2&1/2 weeks after 2nd session. Still holding up quite well, just lighter but that's to be expected. Bear in mind my hair needs cut in these pics.

Got my 3rd booked as my FUE scarring needs a bit more work and my crown could do with a bit more density.

Overall fairly happy with it at the moment. Would be over the moon if it wasn't for the worry of someone noticing the FUE's. As it stands I'm having to dot the back of my head with eyeliner to cover up the areas where it needs more work. Also doing my best to avoid people standing behind me!

Had a couple of people saying they didn't like my haircut mind you, although one of them was a bald guy saying it annoys him when guys with hair have a skinhead. Suppose that's positive feedback!

Contacted HIS for a copy of my treatment photos so here's a few of the FUE scarring to get an idea of what it was like before

Here is a photo taken tonight after shaving with a braun series 7 face shaver. The FUE scarring is still slightly visible so I've used a bit of eyeliner to try to conceal it. Apologies photo is not the best. I took it myself with my phone.

Session 3 next week. I think this 1 will hopefully nail the scarring. Other than that I don't think I need much else done. A little bit more density at the crown and a little touch up in a couple of patches of fading should do it.

Here's a couple more just to show the rest of the treatment at face shaver length. This definitely blends best and I think I'll keep it like this from now on.

I can't see your face but I imagine that this procedure has taken a few years off you buddy.

Even the detailed pics I still think you have brilliant camouflage do far and the average lay person would never realise what that was even if they could see it. You're a lucky chap.

Yeah Robby, I think (and really hope) you're right. I've been out and about with my head at work and in public the last 2 and a half weeks and no one has said anything about the FUE's. I can only hope that means they haven't noticed either.

I have had a couple of comments that got me paranoid that I'd been found out about SMP in general though but again it's probably just me over analysing it.

No one will say anything HBK, you would only notice the dots if you were looking for them, like you and all of us on here are. Even if they did, I think the important thing is that they would never think they were HT scars. The average person has never heard of FUE - even I had never heard of it till I came to this forum!

For me, that's the most important thing - that people don't look at my scar and think "hair-transplant". Which they might do with a strip scar like mine but not with yours, especially this well camouflaged.

Treatment looks great all-round and you should be really happy.

I agree Thierry. As long as it doesn't scream "hair transplant" I'm happy as well. Luckily it is dots rather than a linear scar but unfortunately the dots are spaced out along a strip, as you can see in the before pics. If it wasn't for this I maybe wouldn't even bother with a 3rd session for a while yet.

All round the treatment is great as you say and overall I'm really happy, will be ecstatic next week after a bit more work on the FUE's!

HBK I think the treatment looks flawless and definitely looks it's best rotary shaved. You may want to give a wet shave a try because it's makes SMP undetectable in my humble opinion.

You have a lot of hair!! <<<Jealous! :)

Well this is weird. I just tried wet shaving about 1 hour ago and opened the thread to see your message Flippo! Gave the headblade a go for the first time. It was fairly quick and easy. I went with the grain to avoid getting cuts and razor burns. Mission successful - no irritation at all.

Overall the treatment blends really well with it. It does show up some dots that still have shrinking to do but I'm sure they will keep on settling for a while yet.

The FUE dots are quite visible when wet shaved but I'm not worrying too much as I'm in this week for my 3rd.

Here's a few with a fresh wet shave outside in natural light.

Got some concealer on the FUEs but you can still see them if you look for them.

1 month after 2 sessions I think this is absolutely the best I could have hoped for before treatment so I'm well chuffed!

Definitely Jason, I hate having to fanny about dabbing eyeliner on the back of my head but I know it's just temporary until the job is complete.

I'll get a pic tomorrow with nothing on it to give you an idea what it's like just now.

fantastic hbk, very jealous !

your FUE is quality as well, some of my grafts are raised and make the whole thing look unnatural.. your dome seems smooth enough ;)

Honestly it was anything but quality. Just check the before photos to see the state of the donor area. The reason it's smooth on top is that only about 3 grafts actually survived! :D

Been reading your threads as well buddy. Hoping you get some good luck soon. Your certainly due some!
