   Had my first treatment as you can see and thought id upload some pics and give an honest opinion. Firstly i must say that the guy who did my treatment was a very nice person and really made me feel at ease. The actual experience i felt quite uncomfortable as it is an irritating sting thats constant so anyone who says its not must be a tougher man than me. My appointment was scheduled for three and a half hours but he done it in 2 (little concerned with that but not overly bothered yet) By the way i was a norwood three going in! Once treatment was finished i was very red so it was hard to tell exactly what it looked like, but i did notice my hairline was a bit pointier on one side and that my temple area on one side seems further back-i pointed this out and he said it could be sorted at next visit as this was like a base coat. I walked away reasonably happy but not over the moon like some people (but i know that this is a process)Two days later and the redness has subsided and panick has set in as it is very dotty, but i am aware of others in my situation who panicked then calmed down once the dotts had settled so i will not let this get to me -yet!! lolI have sent pics  which i know are not the best quality (crappy camera) and i would like an honest opinion of you guys as to whether you think i should lower my hairline and bring in the sides as thats the opinion of family and some close friends. i would be very gratefull for your opinions

   Very  natural.

   Pics are not of the highest quality though.

   I think that the "dotty" feeling comes from being used to the empty pink areas in one's head, which all of a sudden change into something else. Probably the impact is weird and misleading.

   I'm same complexion as yours, same NW 3 and same hair colour. So I'm very interested in seeing your results. Please keep us updated.

   Alright Hairlover I think it looks alright mate.  A first treatment is nothing to go by from what I was told at my consultation. I think you can bring it slightly forward but it depends on what you are after. Who did your treatment, was it Damon or Sam? I think Sam is the guy from Sweden. Im getting my done by Damon in January.  How many treatments do you have? All the best and cheers for the pictures.

   erm i think it looks bloody brill mate..

   i had the panic phase after the first treatment..

   im sure part of that panic is due to having ones head shaved..

   but all in looks cool for first treatment,dont worry .

   Hairlover,

   The pictures aren't clear enough to truly assess the work done.  Also, could you possibly upload a "before" pic in order to have a reference point for the actual work done?

   The one thing that does stick out is that towards the tip of your hairline (Widow's peak), on the immediate left side, I do see that they left somewhat of an indentation that makes it look slightly asymmetrical.

   Other than that, it's hard to gauge without better pics..

   Personally, I would drop the hairline and fill in the temples a bit. I (personally) find that the lower hairline frames the face so much more, going by the results ive seen on this forum so far..

   Hi Hairlover, thank you for posting your photos, much appreciated.

   Ian has spotted your thread and offers the following comments:

   The session times we give our clients are only a guide, so clients can plan their days. If we finish early, that's a bonus. The last thing we want is clients running late and have to catch trains and airplanes etc. Also there is some contingency built in just in case a client is running late, we do want appointments over running into the next clients time. This avoids clients having to wait around for their practitioner to finish the previous client.

   Also, sometimes the pigment may not go on very well so it gives us some additional flexibility. On the other hand with certain clients, the pigments may go in really well and therefore the time required for the session may be less.

   We feel that our current way of operating is in our clients best interests. There is nothing to worry about if a session is quicker than advised at consultation.

   Damien; thanks for clearing that up, much appreciated- i know you have heard it a million times before but how long does it take for dots too settle as im getting a little anxious as they are very noticeable at front of hairline 3 days after. Also when i had my hair done i noticed he used a slightly darker pigment at front instead of back (my back dots do not stand out as much)-probably worrying over nothing but if you could give me some advice on that id be very gratefull

    I would love to help Hairlover, but with regards to your specific treatment, your practitioner really is the best person to ask. There will be a reason why they chose particular pigments for your scalp, so I would be guessing at best.

    Our practitioners encounter concerns on a daily basis. Having MHT is a big decision, and many of our clients become anxious mid-treatment until the look is complete. Whoever is doing your treatment really wont be offended, so please do raise your concerns with your practitioner if you feel you need to.

    Just give your practitioner Sam a call hairlover if you are feeling anxious just to find out why things were done a certain way.  HIS have been amazing to me when ever i wanted information.

    Had 3 sessions in London during January/February 2012. Very very happy :)

    Four days later and dots have settled a bit but i can definately still tell the difference between the dots and my hair follicles. A lot of people on here say they cant tell the difference immediately after but i certainly can! hopefully they will become smaller in the next couple of days......

    Right ive found a better camera (slightly) and these are my pics after 2nd treatment. Picture of redness is 3 days after and the others are 1 week after. Im slightly concerned how dotty and unreal it looks when i look in mirror but like i know it should get better and smaller but i dont know how long! Give me your opinion and sorry if the pics are still not top quality

    Hairlover - Your treatment looks similar to mine. What I think you're seeing as "dottiness" on my head looks like a match to follicles that are still active on the top of my head. It's kind of amazing how much those dots look like my real follicles in color, shape and density now. I think your head looks like good work in my opinion. It's also very natural looking - not too perfect and uniform/flat if you know what I'm saying. Also, what you're seeing as dots up close in bright light in a mirror a few inches from your head at a normal distance looks real to anyone else. Just step back about a foot or two from your mirror and look at your head objectively. It should look like hair in that scenario and frankly that's the closest the majority of people in this world are going to get to your head outside of someone you're intimate with. I wouldn't worry too much about it.

    Looks fine to me.

    Out of curiosity, is that a pimple on top of your scalp, or just random redness? Reason being is that I get acne from time to time, and wondered if it might mess with the procedure. Do you go through the same thing?

    I think it makes sense to have everyone's contact  number on hand as well as their email address to contact someone to confirm the appt up to the time they are scheduled to make the program tun more efficiently and avoid time crunching

    Hi Hairlover.  The pics look tidy to me.  You said Sam did your 1st Treatment, did he do your 2nd also? Im in London in January so its always interesting to no.

    Tesla: have not been on for a while! I have had a third treatment and im still undecided about it. In certain lights i find it looks different and even more so when i inspect it close in the mirror, but that being said who puts there eyes on top of your head lol. I am a bit of a perfectionist so i might be more fussy than the average person so i am being truthfully honest here. I can certainly tell the difference between my hair follicle size and the pigments  but that doesnt mean to say anyone else can! I thought it would be flawless and totally undetectable but like i say to me i can notice the difference

    I think you have a right to be fussy Hairlover if you have folked out lots of money, but you have to realistic also. We will always be more critical of our look than others!! Reading your story it seems you have had  different Practitioners each time, which doesn't help.  I had 4 treatments in total, 3 were with one guy and I was really happy with everything he did, but one of my treatments was with a different Practioner who in my eyes was poor in comparison. This is why I had to go back for a further treatment with my initial Practitioner to get the final look I wanted.

    me are all just as good.
    Just 1 who went a lot faster.

    I think you should post a few recent pictures (in focus) and let us give you our honest opinion.

    I notice you are having a bit of trouble taking the photos. Top: out of focus and Bottom: too dark.

    If you want a tip on taking the photo's

    Stand by a large window face the window, let the natural light fall on your face, try and take the photos in dayfight as this is best.  Press the shutter slowly, your camera should have a timer, you can use that. Check the setting on the camera, it could be on the wrong setting. Don't have reflective surfaces behind you. Try and have a plain background.  Make sure its on Auto if you don't know what your doing.

    When I have my treatment next month I plan to document the whole process. It does give people a clear vision of the whole process involved here. But, you have to agree your vision is clearer when you can see people's photos clearly and in focus, most people think the camera does it all but in reality you have to help the camera take a nice photo and set the scene right. You can have the most expensive camera in the world and still take a crap picture. With a little camera and phone camera there is shutter lag (the moment you press to take the shot untill the camera fires to capture the shot) this is why a lot of people are taking out of focus shots. They press the button and then move the camera but the camera has not fired yet. You have to admit there are alot of out of focus shots in this forum, all I'm trying to do is help people take a good shot because we want to see their progress and comment on it, but you can't when you can't see the picture. I'm trying to help not criticise. If I sound like I am criticising people then I am truly sorry.

    I'm a amature photographer, I enjoy taking photos and doing photoshop, I'm not very good but I'm learning and trying.
