Hey Caesar,

If you have time, you should definitely attach some pictures. Possibly some from when your treatment was originally completed to how it looks now. We'd love to see how it's held up.

If you don't know how to crop your face out/resize, I would PM Damien and I'm sure he'd be more than happy to assist. :)

Welcome back!

CP,

I think just the exact opposite in regards to which Norwood level MHT is best suited.

Men who're less than a NW4 and get MHT outside of their natural hairline make themselves slaves to a razor/shaver. They are used to using clippers one or twice a week. Most men who are NW5 and higher seem to shave a lot more often, so they're used to being a slave to the razor/upkeep of MHT.

I've seen a couple of NW1-3 guys on this very forum whine about "shaving everyday" when it was very clear they should have never gotten MHT to "lower" their hairline if they didn't want to shave everyday.

I also think the real gems of HIS are the guys who are NW5 or higher who are able to achieve the shadow look, and not the guys who are NW3 who have their thinning hair "filled in."

Oh right :) well im 42 and I personally went for the receding look because im an older guy. I was very anxious about the style and colour and did not want the fuller look like Ian. In hindsight I went very light and maybe a tad too light, but plus side is I look naturally receding.
Now I want to get a touch up as its faded a bit too light. If you take a look at the top of the page and see the chap called Andrew, his actual before pic is what i'd love to replicate as I think it suits a chap my age. I just read one of the threads about some people getting a broken up line and fancy the sound of that, it wasn't being done when we had ours done but you must remember they have come very far since we first went. There was Ian and Ranbir and that was it! No other staff at all. Like I say they have come along way and two better people you honestly couldn't meet.

@faster.... I do agree with MOtherman. You look good with the system. Where did you get your systems from? They just don't give you the freedom you want. I'm thinking of doing this for my donor scars that show up if I clip below #5.

So as I ponder and save continuously longer before working up the courage to go for the treatment, I constantly sort of try to imagine how the treatment would look on my head.

My problem is that, I have the typical horse shoe around my head (with a reasonable amount still on top but very thin compared to the rest) and I find that the hair that won't be falling out is different thicknesses. Described in the simplist way, the middle of my horse shoe shape is a lot thicker than where my neck is along the bottom and round.

So much so that i find myself shaving just this middle track twice a day as is become noticably darker before the rest.

Now this worries me when it comes to the treatment as i even wonder will they be able to achieve my hair look because it is SO thick it just looks a shade of grey and no dots after a fresh shave. And also will i be able to pull it off when the "middle bit" i referred to grows so quickly the top might not even blend half way through the day!

Sorry for the rant, its difficult to explain, but if anyone else has the same problem in thickness of their hair that won't fall out, or has had the treatment done successfully/unsuccessfully... Please let me know!

Actually - I had razor shaved, I am closer to a Norwood 5 - now that it is able to grow I am finding I still have a lot more hair than I thought I did LOL. Now - I am still patchy because on more than one occaision when removing the system it litterally tore the hair out of my head.. In addition - my blading was spreading to the sides and along the bottom of the back of my head, which is why he faded the sides some, going to have to work that some more as well. I think I am going to drop the hairline a bit more and round out the recession area a bit too.

I can't tell you how liberating it is to be free of the system, as for the grey thing - got a shitton of them, I will have to ask Aldemar to ignore that for now lol, some guys look distinguished in grey.. I seem to look more like a vagrant.

I leave for LA in a few minutes - I have a 9 o'clock for session 2 tomorrow, I am preppared this time LOL. CP - I highly reccomend this..

I like it the best when they have darker dots on top of lighter grey dots, to simulate hair coming through the follicles. that is probably my favorite type of treatment. The light grey looks good, but I would prefer to have more of a dark dotty look to simulate follicle growth.. The grey is the look of hair right beneath the skin so you would have to wet shave.. with the extra artistry of hair looking like its poking out.. U could probably get away with buzzing instead of shaving.. and i generally like the look better.. my only concern is if it fades funny

Awsome.. the one thing I am really looking forward to is kicking my workouts back to high gear. THAT was impossible wearing a system. In fact since I switched to their latest greatest adheasive, "Ghost Bond" it would turn white after 30 minutes from the sweat. Stupid. It felt like working out with a piece of burlap stuck to my head.

Yeah you know what is great about the first guys pictures.. the black dots that contrast over the grey background. like hair actually starting to poke up. I really like that effect.. it looks very realistic.. Not just a grey dull shade with a high density that looks painted.. but real artistry.

I think that is why us norwood 10's! need.. more artistry to pull it off.. I am sure the more hair you have the better the treatment will come out and the easier it will be to do,, but if your a total slap head.. I think the extra detail work really pays off.. With that kind of illusion I think u can get away with buzzing on a 0 guard instead of wet shaving.

I too have worn a hair system for over 10 years.. The look is great,, no one has ever known, But there is a lack of freedom. U always have to worry about attaching removing buying new ones. you are not free. With this treatment, if you can pull off the style or look, you have a sense of more freedom in my opinion.

Looks great.. especially the first set of pictures you posted.. to me what made it look so great was that it didn't look like one shade of grey that looked painted on.. There was contrast between dark and grey, in dotty formations that look like stubble growing.. That is what made this really shine for me. THe later pictures still looked good, but not as good as the first set.. slightly.. only because the darker ink faded out a bit.. but I really like the look of the dark dots popping thru the grey.. that looks very realistic.

I am about as picky as anyone I know. When I wore a system it was pretty much flawless and every hair was exactly where I styled it to be.. my friend used to call it "Organized messy". I'm day 5 after the first treatment, the pigments are fading down and it looks remarkable.

It is as close as it could possible be, and I'm looking forward to the end results. I think if you look at anything long enough you'll find imperfection. As for the "dotty" thing - there is a guy at my work that sports this look with no mht, his follicles are smattering of fine and course, really odd and at first I thought it was hair plugs. Then I thought well maybe he had the mht - upon closer inspection definately not.. it is just they way his har looks. Whats left of it.

There is no such thing as perfection in nature.. I think one of the reasons Andrew Staniland's look is so popular is just that - well that and he is damned good looking and who doesn't want to emulate that.

I think the real miracle of this procedure having looked at everyone id that they are so individual, not like some cookie cutter product that you pull out of a box and slap on your head.

Now being realistic - it is a replication of folicles, and it isn't 3D, so it stands to reason that if your existing hair gets even a milifrag too long there is going to be a visible difference. Your Tatt can't stand on end lol.

I think if your looking for the holy grail of camoflage this is it, as close as it gets. But you have to keep in mind it isn't going to do tricks. Your other options - outrageously priced and as many have pointed out complete and utter disaster. So - your options are

A.) Do nothing, kneel every night and pray that someday the Hair Fairy visits you and makes it all better.

B.) Hit the web and order up some virtual hair, be preppared for a lifetime of itchy sweaty misery, and never ending expense.

C.) Do something that while it may not be microscopically perfect, is bloody outstanding to the naked eye, and go live your life, unhampered.

There are any number of us who are doing this that will be glad to meet you in person.

completely agree Tony, ive been using Remington by not only the irritation but the fact that hair on the sides is practically invisible, i decided to order Wahl Balding Clipper from Amazon.

I will provide instant feedback once i receive it, hopefully that leaves a bit more stubble without excessive redness/irritation.

updates from work today...poor quality of the webcam pics, i know. looks OK with no direct light n my head that's for sure. i have a feeling that fading is not as excessive as the first couple of treatments (which i'm very much excited about!), although the top could be slightly darker (denser) - i can still see the difference in color even after Remington shaving.

I have one more month for the pigments to settle and then let Matt assess we things are doing, my gut feeling is that one more small session will seal the deal.

This guy was a NW7, with medium white skin and dark brown hair. Whoever said it was a bad idea to put MHT on completely bald guys, is completely wrong.
http://forum.hishairclinic.com/topic/pics-update-thfc

And this man was also completely bald, and was a hair system wearer for thirty years. MHT was a life-saving procedure for him.
http://forum.hishairclinic.com/topic/for-the-skeptics-there-is-hope

Haircules said: @magic how many treatments you had? and how does it change after month of settling?

Two treatments last year. Faded incredibly, but got better after a few month of healing/settling. Januari a touch up. We went a few shades darker for it to fade to how it was right after my 2nd treatment when I walked right out the door as if I just visited a barber. No redness, perfect density and color.

It faded more then I wanted, but now, weeks later, it got that little bit of spark back. It's hard to explain. I should have taken pictures regularly under the same condition for proof. My first practionar said it takes at least a month for the pigments to fully settle. For a while it looked dull and lifeless, now they look like pigments again and I'm quite happy with it.

I have an appointment for a 4th treatment just to even things out here and there.

ok, some current pics. Probably one of the main things holding me back is I have never liked how my hair looks shaved, I have quite a big nose so it doesn't really do me any favours. My whole avatar has been based around me having a blond mohawk for most of the past 7/8 years.<div></div><div><div></div><div></div></div>

Don't forget it all depends on your type of skin aswell Haircules I think. Mines flat and no scarring which helps, so is yours is scarred I take it from your transplants??

I think your last statement... I know it will be alright at the end is the most important thing you have said.
